Luxurious jungle living. Overlooking the Caribbean Sea, Kanopi House offers a handful of elegant tree houses on a sandy cove.

Perfect place to go and hide under the canopy of the trees.

Eco-friendly and luxurious, the Kanopi House has only five tree houses set in a thatch of 100-ft. Banyan trees; they're all extremely elegant, but designed with a minimal eco-footprint.

Your bungalow - with one bedroom or two - offers shuttered doors and windows, local artwork and textiles, indoor and outdoor showers, and kitchens stocked with drinks and snacks (including Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee). To further the luxury experience, you have a Bose dock and iPod with a range of music.

The Jamaican cuisine focuses on local and organic ingredients, many of which are grown in the hotel garden. If you're vegan, vegetarian, or have any special requests, just let staff know - the menu is up to you. They'll also prepare picnics for day trips (highly recommended).

How about a swim to Monkey Island? Or snorkelling or kayaking? The open-air Great Room is wonderful for lounging, with carved daybeds and a selection of books on the culture and history of the area.

Kanopi House is a private, six-acre retreat is located in the Jamaican parish of Portland, one of Jamaica's most luscious parishes, just outside Port Antonio. Visitors fly in to Kingston's Norman Manley International Airport; from there, it's approximately a three-hour drive to Port Antonio.
