Overview
La Mirage Garden Hotel & Spa is one of the few truly luxurious haunts in Ecuador, and it's apparent the proprietors take pride in this. Each suite is furnished with one-of-a-kind artworks and fastidiously maintained, and includes a separate parlor area, garden view, and fireplace (which will be discreetly lit by the time you get back from dinner, if you wish). In regard to private quarters, you could hardly ask for more.
In addition, this traditional estate or "hacienda" offers both breakfast and lunch al fresco in the pavilion where you can watch the native hummingbirds flit about outside, and gourmet four-course dinners (both complimentary and a la carte) in the main dining room.
La Mirage also features a small but well-appointed spa that offers reflexology and aromatherapy treatments as well as a female shaman, who at your request can lead you through an intense purification ritual that has been passed down through the local indigenous cultures.

A 200-year-old estate sitting in peaceful seclusion on the foothills of the Andes, La Mirage Garden Hotel & Spa is situated about an hour and a half north of the airport in Quito, Ecuador.
