A chic, intimate ski resort nestled among the pines near Les Trois Vallées' town of Courchevel 1850, La Sivoliere isn't your typical ski lodge. Its 24 rooms, 14 suites, and one luxury split-level apartment are elegant, yet cozy, with dark woods and neutral colors.

The resort is located at the Courchevel ski resort, which offers 1,300 acres of the Alps' finest pistes. Choose from 119 runs, from beginner to advanced. Courchevel is also linked to the 372-mile Trois Vallées ski resort, which makes the entire region the world's largest ski area.

After a long day on the slopes, après at the Tearoom to enjoy hot chocolate and homemade pastries by the crackling fire. Rest your muscles in the sauna or steam bath, then read a book or take a nap to the silence of snow falling. Later, find a table at the 1850, where you'll enjoy belly-warming comfort cuisine with a fine French flair. Savor a few drinks at the hotel's hip bar, and then drift off to sleep. Wake up, repeat.
