This is just one of many sensory experiences that await guests at Las Alcobas, an intimate design-driven hotel in the always-vibrant Polanco District of Mexico City.

With just 35 rooms or “alcoves”, (the translation of the hotel’s moniker means exactly that) Las Alcobas’ sleek lines and geometric forms are the handy work of renowned design group Yabu Pushelberg, who completed the interior and exterior makeover of this seven-storey 1950's building.

Those who worship the dazzling notes of authentic Mexican food are in for a treat; two restaurants serve up the country’s sweet and spicy cuisine: Barroco, a 50-seat fine dining establishment, and Dulce Patria, serving modern twists on traditional favorites in a casual cantina setting. After a meal, take aim at the Aurora spa, and enjoy treatments utilizing agave, aloe vera, cocoa, and agave.
