Best Hotel Ever
Pierre-Eric from Vincennes gave it a 10 out of 10 - reviewed May. 29, 2012
The Mandarin Oriental has been the best hotel experience ever.
Ideally located on Las Vegas Strip, it is a real bubble of quiet comfort & luxury at the exact opposite of the hotty, sweaty, shabby rest of Las Vegas.
No casino in the Mandarin is definitely the idea.
The room are spacious with the widest amount of enjoyable product, tv, connections, etc.
Both restaurants are of top quality (best food i had in the US) - and the pool lobby on the 8th floor is great.
Will recommand over any other hotel in LV.
A calm oasis amidst the bustle of Vegas

Yes, serenity and calmness can be found in Vegas.
The Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas clearly understands the power of ambience and aesthetics in creating a soothing atmosphere. The orchestration of your experience begins the moment you arrive with driving into an entrance that is a secluded turn-about with a central, sparsely planted bamboo grove, check-in is on the 23rd floor with a commanding vista of the mountains and part of The Strip as background, the hallways to the rooms are fragrant with a subtle "room perfume", and the soundproof rooms are tastefully and beautifully decorated.
The only "issue" we had was not receiving our morning newspaper. On our second morning there I realized our newspaper was not being delivered and when the front desk was alerted to this fact, one was promptly delivered. The morning of our departure, we also did not receive the newspaper even though I was informed by the desk clerk the night before that our 6:45 am Sunday check-out would not impact the delivery of the newspaper.
In short, the Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas aptly sets the stage for its guests to be infused with serenity in a luxurious environment.
