The Mateya Safari Lodge is in the midst of the spectacular (and malaria free) 75,000 hectare Madikwe Game Reserve in South Africa. It's a three-hour drive from Johannesburg, on the north edge of the country.
The reserve has its own airstrip, with regular flights from Johannesburg and Cape Town, via Sun City. The airstrip is just 10 minutes from the lodge.
