A boutique hotel with a character as rich as the wines that inspire it, the 30-room MIO BUENOS AIRES is easily savored by palates both virginal and refined. Sophisticated yet raw in their use of materials, interiors here do justice to the surrounding city that’s aptly dubbed, “The Paris of South America.”

The wine theme is evident from the get-go, with massive main doors crafted from the French Oak that once served as a series of wine barrels. Oak, steel, marble, and silk all work in concert throughout common spaces, giving a feeling of home to whoever ventures here.

Rooms are available in five levels of trim ranging from stunning basic rooms up to the palatial Mio Suites, complete with private outdoor terrace and steam bath. A common thread in any room is the hand-carved Calden wood bathtub, an incredible piece of craftsmanship rarely seen anywhere else.

Up on the 8th floor, the spa and cardio studio sit high above the temptations of the city. Take in a swim or a soak; then opt for a massage and one of a selection of fresh juices to bring vitality back to your luxuriated self.

Last but not least, there is the wine. At the ground floor MIO (also the place to find your scrumptious and complimentary breakfast) wines come out in expertly selected flights — perfect for the end of a long day, or the start of a long evening.
