Ngorongoro Crater Lodge is perched on the edge of the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, surrounded by miles of pristine African wilderness at the eastern edge of the Serengeti in northern Tanzania.

Head for the Living Room at cocktail hour ... or any hour, really.

Get close to nature at Tanzania's Ngorongoro Crater Lodge. Each of the three camps at the Lodge operates independently, with its own viewing deck overlooking the crater. The Tree Camp is more secluded, with only six suites instead of 12, and its Masai mud-and-stick lodge is intimate and romantic. From its deck, you feel as if you can see all of Tanzania.

From Ngorongoro Crater Lodge, safaris through CC Africa take you across the conservation area, which plays host to the Great Migration of zebra and wildebeest across the Serengeti. Masai pastoralists tend their herds in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and live in peaceful co-existence with the wildlife, offering a glimpse of bygone Africa.

Upon returning to your suite after your evening game drive, you'll find your bath has been drawn, a fire has been lit, and brandy has been left for you. The wild animals are free to roam all over, so at night a Masai warrior will escort you when you go outside.

The famous Ngorongoro Crater is a World Heritage Site situated at the eastern edge of the Serengeti in northern Tanzania. The crater is the largest unbroken ancient caldera in the world. Nearly three million years old, the once-volcanic Ngorongoro is now considered Africa's Garden of Eden. There are two flights a day from Arusha Airport to Manyara Airstrip. From the airstrip, a chauffeur will get you to the Ngorongoro Crater Lodge in around two hours.
