A hotel with roots in the 1800s, Nobis Hotel is now, like much of Sweden, dictated by the thoughtful whims of designers. This is a good thing, indeed.

The most centrally located hotel in Stockholm, with a great lounge for afternoon to late night gatherings.

When someone references, "Stockholm Syndrome" a hostage-taking at the original building that now houses the bespoke Nobis Hotel is the origin. And while somewhat macabre, it is relevant to explaining Nobis. Loosely defined, the term means, "To empathize with one's captors." Staying at the Nobis Hotel won't be forced upon you, but you will begin to fall in love with the crippling effort that went into designing this Swedish masterpiece.

You'll swoon over the discrete and welcoming design concept, falling instantly for any of the 201 rooms or suites. You'll heap praises upon the gym, and positively gush about the sauna.

Business appointments may plead with you to leave the hotel, but you'll pull away, insisting, "No! Nobis is my home now; she knows what's best." And she just might. Especially at mealtime. Authentic Italian dishes come out of the kitchen hot and well-loved at Caina Restaurant, while neither starlight nor sunshine will stop global favorites from arriving in front of you at the 24/7 Bistro.
