Established in the 1950s, Nsefu Camp has a long history of friendly hospitality in the wilds of Zambia. Located in South Luangwa National Park, the camp lies in the heart of the undeveloped Nsefu sector.
You'll stay in one of six rondavels, traditional African style houses, which have been extended to include a spacious bathroom. Your room has large windows that look out over the Luangwa River bend and a grazing area. And when you're sipping a sundowner, the bar also offers a superb viewing platform to observe the hippos at the river.
The guides at Nsefu seem to be able to summon animals on demand, making each game drive a spectacular panoply of leopards, lions, and elephants (as well as the equally impressive, less fierce herbivores). While here, try a walking safari. You'll see less large game, but it's an incomparable experience to truly interact, face-to-face, with the natural world of eastern Zambia.
