Your sturdy tent is amply furnished with a four-poster bed, parquet floors, and balconies overlooking the land. Just below the camp is the local watering hole, where your closest neighbors live - a pod of hippopotami.
Despite its isolation, Olonana is cleverly networked with every possible transport facility you might want to explore Kenya's diverse landscape. Of course, the standard way to get acquainted with the wildlife is a game drive with local guides, who head out into the brush daily. But if you really want to see everything, jump on board a plane or hot air balloon and visit legendary Lake Victoria or watch the wildebeest migration while hundreds of feet in the air.

Location
Olonana is located in prime game-viewing territory, in Kenya's famous Masai Mara game reserve, along the Mara River. The reserve is underneath the Rift Valley's Siria Escarpment, which perpetually catches the eyes of cinematographers for its sweeping vistas. From July to October, the surrounding plains are awash with migrating wildebeest and zebra. Daily scheduled and charter flights are available from Nairobi, and take about 45 minutes.
