Overview
Onguma Tree Top Camp is a perfect escape for families that want to foster a sense of intimacy and togetherness. The camp, set up on stilts overlooking a nearby watering hole, lets you spy on African beasts that come to quench their thirst and frolic.
The camp itself is small and intimate - four thatched-roof rooms, a dining area, and kitchen. The walls of the rooms are loosely built to let in outside breezes, but if need be canvas can be let down for privacy. Communal living is encouraged; go ahead and chat with the chefs as they cook breakfast at dawn over an open flame.
Onguma is a place of seclusion and simple living, the kind of private refuge you'd look for when you really need to escape the daily grind. You'll hear nothing but the birds overhead and the animals down below.
During the day, be sure not to miss the game drives into Etoshe National Park, which head out daily in open-air vehicles, and routinely run into lion, giraffe, hyena, and other exotic mammals.

Location
Tiny Onguma Tree Top Camp is situated just east of Etoshe National Park, near the Namutoni gate. The camp is a short drive away from the Groofontein Airport, but other than that, expect clear skies and total seclusion for miles around.
