The Pitcher Inn

Welcoming guests since the 1850s, the iconic Pitcher Inn epitomizes Vermont's charms within 11 rooms and suites that have been decorated by different designers to showcase the state's history, character, surroundings, and sport.

The charming School Room, for example, recreates an antique Vermont schoolhouse: a slate blackboard serves as headboard to the king size bed while a small library comes alive with literary figures. A period school desk might even inspire you to write a letter to a sweetheart the old fashioned way, with paper and pen. Some rooms are outfitted with wood burning fireplaces and all feature Jacuzzi tubs and radiant floor heating.

The Inn is a member of Vermont Fresh Network, which means the chef uses the freshest local and regional ingredients - Vermont raised lamb, quail, and rabbit, organic heirloom tomatoes, local free range eggs, artisanal cheeses, and seafood from the country's finest purveyors - to create exquisite seasonal dishes.
