Pousada Picinguaba is built into the side of the hill, ensuring magnificent views of the tranquil bay, and is surrounded by tropical gardens. You can wander down to deserted white sand beaches, go trekking in the lush rainforest, or just drink Caipirinhas by the springwater pool, lounging on the deck and soaking up the sun. Savor the local flavors of fresh seafood, caught in the bay. When you're in the mood for adventure, try heading out on the hotel's private schooner to some of the small islands that dot the bay, or taking a 30-minute drive up the coast to the historic town of Paraty.
The only things you won't find here, are distractions; that means no TV, telephone, or Internet.

Location
Pousada Picinguaba is located in the tiny town of Picinguaba, halfway between Rio and São Paulo on Brazil's beautiful coastline. The trip from São Paulo-Guarulhos International Airport takes almost four hours over difficult road, so it is recommended that you arrange for a transfer through the resort. Note that the final 250 metres to the hillside location must be made on foot, so be sure to call ahead for help with your baggage.
