Eco-friendly is just standard practice when you've got surroundings like Reserva Conchal does in Costa Rica. That's precisely why the hotel was so sensitive in building its Robert Trent Jones II golf course. Surrounding habitats were improved and protected, while the actual course conserves water and all but eliminates the use of chemicals.
Of course, there is more to Reserva Conchal than golf and rainforest. When you do opt to get off the fairway, or have your fill of hiking the surrounding area, the actual resort is just warming up.
At the Ahuia Spa, guests will have their run of 30,000 sq. ft. and six treatment rooms. No matter how sore your hands and feet are from long drives and hikes, you'll find respite here.
Of course, the beach club is a huge draw for any and all sunseekers. Dip in the pool, or duck beneath the ocean waves by way of snorkel or scuba gear. Then again, you may opt to stay dry on a boat, and haul up a few creatures from the deep.
If you do come up empty on your fishing excursion, simply sit down at the restaurant, and order up what you wished had found your line.
