Sandhamn is one of the inhabited islands of Sweden's outer archipelago. Arlanda Airport is about 30 minutes from Stockholm, where a variety of ferries and water-taxis serve the island, including daily ferries out of Stavsnäs, and a summer ferry from Strandvägen. Many other private charters are also available (travel times vary depending on the craft and number of ports). Activities for visitors include boating, fishing, cycling, and the popular pastime of clay pigeon shooting.
