In an ideal location in the heart of uptown Orchard Road, the St. Regis Hotel Singapore offers immediate access to exceptional shopping and entertainment, and a convenient retreat from the heat.

One thing that makes the St. Regis Hotel a sanctuary in Singapore's frenetic island state is the bespoke service that each guest receives. The St. Regis Butler (on-call day and night) may seem gratuitous when first welcoming you, but becomes invaluable when it comes to organizing theater tickets in an unfamiliar city.

When you do venture out of the St. Regis's cool lobby, take advantage of the Hotel's proximity to the famous Orchard Road to indulge in Singapore's national pastime of shopping. Also close to hand along Holland Road are the iconic Singapore Botanic Gardens. A little further past the Gardens you'll find Dempsey Hill. The colonial neighborhood has been revitalized as a dynamic hub of restaurants, bars, and antique furniture shops.

If you find that a little fast paced, stay in and enjoy the complimentary wine tasting at the St. Regis. While you're at it, why not ask your St. Regis Butler to organize for the chef's specialty to be served in the comfort of your suite.

Great stay; could be more baby friendly

As all the other reviewers have noted, the hotel is beautiful, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. Service was good, and the hotel breakfast delicious. Only complaint was that the baby amenities as listed on the website (http://www.stregissingapore.com/amenities) only came down to a medieval metal cot with a rock hard bed, a bottle sterilizer (albeit a pretty good Phillips one, though with no instructions provided I had to google it), and some basic toiletries. No baby bath tub, linen, bottle warmer etc. Don't get me wrong, it was still an a amazing stay, but it was a good thing we were well prepared for baby's needs and weren't relying on the hotel. Oh, and the bathroom with free standing tub is great! Do make use of the free coffee and tea and the pillow menu, which our butler failed to highlight to us.

Without a doubt this is one of the best Hotels I have had the pleasure of staying in. The Butler was always available but never intrusive and the staff were very accommodating.

The room was exquisitely decorated with every touch carefully considered for the guest enjoyment. The amenities, Remede, were also exceptional - so much so that I purchased some from The Spa before departing.

A trip to Singapore cannot be complete without a stay at St Regis. This was my first introduction to the hotel Collection and I am sure will not be my last.

The St. Regis Hotel has a fleet of Bentleys to whisk guests to and from Singapore's Changi Airport (half an hour's drive away). Singapore is a lively, tropical city (perhaps the cleanest city you've ever seen) and shopping is everywhere. Once you're at the St. Regis you are steps away from truly world-class shopping. Though no one will judge if the tropical heat makes you opt for one of Singapore's cheap, reliable taxis, or the Metro, whose Orchard Road stop is a five-minute walk from the hotel.
