Fashion designer Silvia Tcherassi understands that beauty is more skin-deep - and with that in mind, The TCHERASSI Hotel + Spa shows not only outer beauty, but also a loving, creative spirit that glows from beneath every surface.

Here in Cartagena's Old City - on Colombia's north coast - Colonial Spanish architecture sprouts from almost every foundation, creating an ornate, colorful, and weathered city brimming with friendly folks and an arousing new culinary scene.

Within the hotel, seven playful yet modish rooms, four pools, and the Vera restaurant (serving seriously authentic Italian fare under 250-year-old wooden-beamed ceilings) all echo and concentrate the city's vibrancy into a charming modern wonderland.

One would be remiss not giving special credit to one of the aforementioned pools. Why? Because it's on the rooftop, and part of a private guest's lounge, serving cocktails and light snacks while overlooking the city and sea.
