The Homestead Spa, one of the country's oldest, blends centuries-old sophistication with the newest, most innovative treatments. Massage, body, and hydrotherapies are offered alongside a soak in the "Jefferson Pools," named after Thomas Jefferson's 1818 visit. According to Jefferson, the story goes, the waters are of "first merit."
