There's no way to deny it: The Jefferson Hotel is class, through and through. The historic structure has been a landmark in downtown Richmond, Virginia since it was built in 1895. It's also been the city's grandest address, with the clientele to prove it.

Rooms and suites - there are 262 in total - range from the not-so-modest Deluxe Room to the 14,000 sq. ft. Presidential Suite, complete with vaunted marble balcony. Amenities run the gamut from plush bathrobes to high-speed wireless internet.
Two on-site restaurants, Lemaire and TJ's, serve New American and Southern bistro-style, respectively. There's not a bad dinner between them, but the true showstopper might just be the Sunday brunch, done proper with a drool-inducing spread.
