Overview
With two golf courses nearby, guests should stay long enough to play every hole a couple times.
The estate features a mere 40 guest rooms, most featuring ocean and/or golf fairway views. They're elegantly furnished with antiques, overstuffed chairs, exposed beam ceilings, and deep soaking baths. The Lodge wine cellar houses an impressive backbone of 4,500 bottles and 750 different labels.
The Lodge is the heart of Sea Island's legendary golf mecca. If the greens don't cooperate, The Golf Learning Center employs three of Golf Digest's top 50 teachers. Lodge guests also have full access to eight clay tennis courts, a massive spa and fitness center, sailing, deep sea-fishing, salt marsh kayaking, trap and skeet shooting and private beach.
