A historic lakefront retreat in the unspoiled Adirondack Mountains, The Sagamore was built over 100 years ago. Located on forested Green Island, the meticulously maintained Sagamore has stunning views of Lake George and the surrounding islands.
From lodge rooms to two-bedroom self-contained condominiums, all are decorated in American country and Adirondack styles. The oldest building in the complex, the Historic Hotel, was built in 1883 and has been fully restored, but rooms still maintain their original clapboard siding and classic architecture. If you're traveling with family or need more space, the lodge rooms have lake views, gas fireplaces, and fully-equipped kitchens.
This is a water-lover's paradise. Take out a sailboat or kayak. Catch a fish off the Sagamore dock. Watch fireworks while taking a scenic boat cruise on a replica of a 19th-century touring boat. Or grab your clubs and head for The Sagamore's legendary golf course.
