Bring your camera for the scenic drive to the resort - an experience all its own.
One of the last unspoilt parts of Hawaii. Travaasa Hana, located at the end of the famed "Highway to Hana," is well worth the trip.
Rooms are designed in traditional (but luxurious) Hawaiian style, with hardwood floors, indigenous art, and bamboo mats. Sea Ranch and Bay Cottages have private gardens, hot tubs, or ocean views. Best of all, there are no TVs or radios to interfere with the sounds of the surf.
At Ka'uiki, the chef presents European-inspired Hawaiian dishes like chilled white gazpacho with Hawaiian prawns. Or enjoy the casual Paniolo Lounge, with live Hawaiian music.
Speaking of Hawaiian culture, take a hula dancing or ukulele lesson. Or take the complimentary shuttle to Hamoa Beach, where umbrellas, boogie boards, and snorkel gear are as free as the tropical air.
The island itself is relaxing, but a stay isn't quite complete without a Hawaiian Ginger Body Scrub & Honua Wrap at the Honua Spa - a traditional therapy using local ingredients.

Travaasa Hana is a 10-minute drive from the regional Hana Airport. Major carriers fly into the Maui Airport in Kahului. It's then a two-hour drive to the hotel, along the famous Hana Highway.
