As the seaplane lands in the calm, crystalline waters surrounding Turtle Island Fiji, even seasoned travellers will clamour for a photo of the island's unspoiled beauty.

The site of one of the most famous tropical island films of all time, Turtle Island Fiji has only 14 luxury bures, all facing immaculate private white sand beaches. With 1,500 sq. ft., you'll have plenty of room to unwind with a drink and tropical fruit from your pre-stocked fridge. Plus, there's a double hammock, so you can spend time lazing under the trees when you're not swimming, snorkelling, scuba diving, or exploring the island.

Local fishermen bring fresh lobster and fish to the island each day, and the resort has a three-acre organic vegetable garden, resulting in fresh, delicious meals. At night, join the other guests for a dinner party on the beach, or better yet, have a romantic dinner on a floating pontoon in the middle of the lagoon - just the two of you in paradise.

Turtle Island Fiji is located on the shores of the Blue Lagoon in the Yasawa Island Group, northwest of the main island Viti Levu. Guests arrive by seaplane, a 30-minute trip from the Nadi seaplane base.
