Over the last five years, Sedona Miracle has raised over $1,400,000 and has positively impacted many Sedona non-profits and Verde Valley charities. This year, chaired by Jim Ousley, it will benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of Northern Arizona, the Sedona Community Foundation and the Verde Valley Sanctuary.
New this year, the Sedona 30, a group of local community-minded philanthropists, have joined the Miracle and are playing a lead role organizing this major fundraising event. A fourth share of funds raised will benefit specific Sedona 30 community projects.
One of the highlights of the 2008 Miracle is the Gala Dinner on November 1st, 2008, at The Club at Seven Canyons. It honors the late Bill Garland, respected throughout Sedona and the entire State of Arizona as a businessman and philanthropist Bill Garland who either led or was a prime mover behind many Sedona community projects. He was also a charter member of the Sedona 30. Immediately after the dinner, at 7.30 pm, there will be a Live Auction, to include a 2008 Anniversary Edition Harley VRSCAW VRod and many fabulous premier vacations and weekend getaways with amenities galore.

Several resort packages are being donated by the luxury Sedona Rouge Hotel & Spa, which is also donating an in-home dinner for 16 guests - this comes with the services of the resort's chef, and all wines.
The following day, November 2nd, 2008, the Golf Scramble begins at eight o'clock, on the Tom Weiskopf-designed, Seven Canyons Golf Course: this includes a hearty breakfast and barbecue lunch on the golf course, followed by heavy hors d’oeuvres along with gifts and prizes. At four o'clock that afternoon there is a thrilling helicopter golf ball drop, also at The Club at Seven Canyon and open to the public! A torrent of sponsored and numbered golf balls (maximum sold 2,500) will pelt the practice green and the Grand Prize Target Hole. First ball in the target hole wins a 2008 Lexus ES 350 automobile.
