On Friday January 15th, 2010, Claudio Schmitz, Executive Chef of The Dolder Grand, offers a five-hour course on truffles, also known as black gold.

You may, of course, already have tasted some of his truffle dishes. The New Year’s Eve dinner in The Restaurant of The Dolder Grand, December 31st, 2009, has a lavish seven course menu planned. In detail, it is Spiny lobster with caviar, peanut butter and dill; Sea urchin with coconut, acacia blossom seeds and cress; Scallops and ox bone marrow with salsify and mango; Truffles with red wine and egg; Venison with chestnuts, chocolate and green tea; Bleu de Gex with pear, olive oil and liquorice; Pomegranate moelleux with beetroot, ginger and orange.
