This unique property, built right on the water’s edge with the Hajjar Mountains behind, has 82 villas built of Nizwa stone, with private sand-gardens framed with jareed date-palm sticks. The ideal way to arrive is to paraglide from the final mountain peak – you are escorted by a professional diver! WOW.travel loved suite 23, about 4,000 sq ft total, including our sand exterior.
We were 30 feet from the blue ocean, and we had a private 24-foot infinity pool. We are sorry we cannot be there on December 4th, 2009 (Michel Laroche, who heads Dme Laroche, is an old friend). As he says, with that characteristic Laroche smile, his wine philosophy is simple: "the best wines are made with the best grapes and nature needs to be left to express itself.”

I often compare the work of a winemaker with that of a chef in his kitchen and restaurant. He cannot leave anything to chance, everything is important down to the smallest detail. The quality of the product, savoir-faire, the experience, the inspiration, the quality of the equipment as well as presentation and a warm reception are essential; once all these elements are put together, the meal is successful.”
