Along the way you visit the state-of-the-art wine museum at Briones, a modern wonder built by local architect, Jesus Marina Pascual. You ride to Santo Domingo de la Calzada, a major stop along the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route, and landscapes along the way range from mountain roads, to tidy vineyards and rolling farmlands.
Architectural buffs will love our last hotel, the Gehry-designed Marques de Riscal. Accompanying the trip is Daniel Johnnes (photo). Currently Wine Director for Daniel Boulud's Dinex Group, including Restaurant Daniel, DB Bistro, and Cafe Boulud, he is also an author, and importer, and was,
