In 1970, Mike Wiegele ventured to Gosnell BC, the hamlet at the base of Mount Albreda in the Monashee Range of the Canadian Rockies. Dreaming of developing a Helicopter Skiing business, Mike envisioned a lodge that provides quick access to the largest mountain in this area, Mt Albreda. This vision is now realized.

Albreda Lodge offers a cozy sophistication in some of the most beautiful nature on earth. The architecture creates a calming presence integral to its natural surroundings. Albreda is traditional, classic, modern and pure. Inspired from the old lodges of Europe, Albreda is hand crafted from huge reused timbers with slate accents that provide a warm feel in the cozy spaces. The bar and dining room serve the same standard of fare and contributes to the mystique of this special place. The full spa, fitness area, guide operations and ski shop provide the safety and support for this new helicopter skiing experience.

Albreda Lodge consists of 14 single and 3 double rooms that will service the Private, Semi-private and Elite 7-day tour guests. The lodge is comfortable for a group of 20 yet cozy for 4 guests. Albreda Lodge offers an intimate and cozy atmosphere with all the amenities that Mike Wiegele Helicopter Skiing guests have grown to enjoy. As part of the services that the lodge offer, you can find the fiber-optical link to Heli-village, including video link from Guides Haus in Blue River, high-end gourmet meals, full range of powder gear and big mountain accessories in Albreda's own ski shop and boutique, fitness room, sauna, hot tub, and massage therapists, telephone, fax, wireless internet, and TV in your room, as well as climbing wall facilities.

A gem in the Canadian Rockies, it is located just 45 km north of Blue River. They offer a complimentary shuttle to and from Blue River. It is 214 km/133 miles, a 2.5 hr drive. Saturday morning the hosts and courtesy bus will meet you at the following locations: 7:50am-Executive Inn, 8:10am-Plaza Heritage Hotel, 8:30am-Coast Canadian Inn, 9:00am-Kamloops Airport.
Also a transfer to Kamloops from Blue River is offered, their courtesy bus departs Blue River at 12:30 pm on Saturday. The bus usually arrives at the Kamloops International Airport by 3:00 pm. Due to weather conditions; they are unable to guarantee this arrival time.
