On an unspoilt island off the coast of Mozambique, Azura dazzles with just 15 luxury villas, miles of pure white sand, and an endless ocean to play in and on.
EXPERIENCE
Beach paradises don't get a whole lot more picture-perfect than Azura. The setting? An unspoilt island within a national park, off the coast of Mozambique. The accommodations? Very private and very luxurious. The plan? Whatever you want, as long as it includes fine dining, a swim in the sparkling blue seas, and lots of time set aside for romance or relaxation.
The resort's 15 villas are built to pamper. Each includes an infinity pool, luxurious amenities, and even the services of a host,to cook and to help plan any excursion you might fancy. That could be a guided snorkel or scuba trip in the crystalline waters, a Land Rover sand-dune tour, or a star- and candle-lit dinner on the beach.
Azura calls itself a luxury eco-boutique resort, and the name fits. It operates in partnership with the local community, and a fund established by the resort is helping to build a local school. In fact, you can visit Benguerra's School and meet the students on one of your tours.

LOCATION
Azura is on Benguerra Island, in the Bazaruto Archipelago off Mozambique. Most guests take the two hour flight from Johannesburg International airport to Vilanculos International Airport. From there, an Azura-operated six seat helicopter flies the 10 minutes to the resort. For those who don't wish to fly, a transfer by boat is also available.
