Baghvan

The name Baghvan draws its inspiration from one of India's iconic symbols, the Bengal tiger. This charming lodge is located on the edge of Pench National Park, which is a dry deciduous forest of predominantly teak trees. The twelve spacious stand-alone suites have been totally rebuilt. The original guest areas remain and have been extensively renovated and enlarged, and a beautiful swimming pool added. Baghvan is not in operation from July 1st until September 30th due to closure of the National Park.

Charming individual suites have a contemporary bungalow feel with a chic 50's ambiance. All suites comprise of two inter-linked buildings accessed through courts. Each has a spacious air- conditioned bedroom with private shaded decks. Bedrooms all have a Jharokha, wooden latticed bay window, which filters the soft early morning light. Stairs lead guests up to a Machan, a covered roof terrace for romantic sleep-outs - with mosquito nets and an overhead fan.

Baghvan offers a variety of dining options including n-room breakfasts on the cool private veranda, pool lunches on the shaded deck, dinner for two served on the deck overlooking the nullah, a dry river bed, or picnics at Khoka Lake.
