A South Sea island paradise on Australia's Great Barrier Reef, Bedarra will captivate lovers of both natural and architectural design.
EXPERIENCE
Through the floor-to-ceiling windows of your villa, you look out over Wedgerock Bay to the Great Barrier Reef, one of the world's seven natural wonders. And speaking of wonderful, when was the last time you stayed on a tropical island in a open-plan timber-and-glass home straight out of Architectural Digest?
On 247-acre Bedarra Island, Bedarra consists of just 16 exquisitely designed luxury villas tucked into the verdant rainforest. Several have their own plunge pools, and the resort's spa therapists will be happy to pay you a visit. Once you've gotten your bearings, there are endless opportunities to enjoy the surrounding ocean. Savor a gourmet picnic lunch on a private beach, or fish and dive the reef from the catamaran, Calypso Spirit.
In true Aussie style, Bedarra offers plenty of food and drink. The poolside restaurant specializes in fresh seafood, there's a self-service bar and lounge, and the wine cellar features well-chosen bottles from Australia and New Zealand.
