Like a sentinel, the Burrowing Owl guesthouse occupies a rocky outcrop in the South Okanagan, overlooking 140 acres of vineyards. With geography as rich and dramatic as this, the wine must be good.
EXPERIENCE
Welcome to the Burrowing Owl in the sunny South Okanagan region. Here, a diverse and delicate eco-system provides a special environment for growing grapes, as well as fostering memories for lifetime.
From its striking position, all 10 rooms in the guesthouse offer a view over the pool area and vineyards. Decks jut out and threaten those views, while offering cozy fireplaces, ideal for curling up with a tipple of wine from the land you're surveying. For longer visits, the Meritage Suite boasts a gourmet kitchen, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and private deck, perfect for pretending you actually live in this den of oenophilia.
Guests dine in rustic style in the four-star Sonora Room, enjoying fresh produce, artisan bread and cheeses, all created to compliment the vintages of the Burrowing Owl Winery. Guests are welcome to tour the Estate Winery and discover the pioneering methods employed at Burrowing Owl. Please, though, no diving in the tanks.
LOCATION
Burrowing Owl Guesthouse and Winery is located in Canada's premier wine region in the Okanagan Valley. For those guests in a hurry it's only 10 minutes south of the town of Oliver and its Municipal Airport. As this is wine country, why not hire a car in Vancouver and set out on a five-hour drive through the spectacular and diverse landscapes of Canada's only true desert region?
