Castle Hotel Fragsburg is a family run hotel and located on a sunny slope with magnificent views of the valley below the town of Merano. The most stunning view is of the Texel group of mountains with 13 peaks above 3000 meters. Merano lies at the entrance to the Passeiertal/Val Passiria, Vinschgau/Val Venosta, Etschtal/Val d'Adige and Ultental/Val d'Ultimo valleys and can thus be accessed from different directions. The most common way to reach Merano is from the north via Brenner/Brennero Pass, the Brenner/Brennero motorway, via Jaufen/Giovo Pass (Passeiertal/Val Passiria) or via Reschen/Resia Pass (Vinschgau/Val Venosta). Coming from the south the most convenient way is on the motorway (Autobahn/autostrada A-22-Modena-Brenner/Brennero, exit Bozen Süd/Bolzano sud) to Bolzano. To reach Castle Fragsburg, take the Merano South exit.
