At Chaiwa, day and night, safaris embark from nine luxurious, elevated safari tents overlooking the Zambezi River, renowned for dusty herds of elephants, buffalo, and prolific bird life.
EXPERIENCE
Steps from the banks of the Zambezi river, Chaiwa Camp Zambia, is comprised of nine "tents" that can accommodate up to 16 parties. There's an option to book the camp in its entirety if you've got some lucky friends or family.
Rustic, unpretentious yet undeniably luxurious, the tents are set on elevated timber decks, with handsome thatched roofs covering a king-size bed and en-suite bathrooms with deluxe soaker tubs, double washbasins, and unique indoor/outdoor showers.
Privacy is assured whether you book the entire camp or a single tent, however don't be surprised if you spot a huge figure gently lumbering in the not-so-far-off distance, it's just one of the many elephants that call this region home. When big game isn't passing by for a visit, the staff and guides will bring you to them - day and night. Chaiwa's staff are exemplary professionals whose skills have become the benchmark for safari operations in Lower Zambezi National Park - putting you in good hands.
