Elite Plaza Hotel

The Elite Plaza Hotel, located in Gothenburg, Sweden, is a palatial building where all the original features have been preserved, from the beautiful stucco ceilings to the English mosaic floors. Modern art hangs on the walls, and classical styles blend tastefully with more modern styles throughout the building; a unique environment with the ambition to give guests the highest level of satisfaction. Located in an authentic New Renaissance office building from the 1880's, the hotel is designed in a somewhat classical style.

The Elite Plaza Hotel has 139 rooms, 5 of which are suites. The rooms are tastefully decorated in a classic style, fulfilling the needs of the modern traveler with hi-tech detail and old-fashioned comfort. The two largest suites in the hotel are the Maharaja suite, has a wonderful rooftop penthouse, which is a listed historical site that was created by Jonhondel & Richter, and the Svea suite, has an eight-sided room included in the suite, both with more than enough space. Then there are rooms of Standard, Superior, Business Deluxe and Junior suites. A place where guests can request the hotels night service; staff draw the curtains, take off the bedspread, clean the room, put a chocolate under the pillow and deliver drinking water to make the luxurious feeling even better. Most rooms offer a nice working space, for working or reading a complimentary copy of the morning paper.

The Swea Hof Restaurant and Bar is located in the heart of the hotel, in the covered, outside yard. The name is taken from the Svea building, and the German word, Hof, which means yard. The 20-meter high glass roof, the stylistic furnishings and the open kitchen make the restaurant an exciting oasis. The restaurant serves everything from classic Swedish dishes to modern regional specialties with an emphasis on seafood delicacies. The wine cellars are well stocked, so why not try a glass of a different wine with every course or even organize a private wine tasting? Swea Hof is one of Gothenburg's best first-class restaurants and one of the most popular. Or guests can relax at the Bishop's Arms, a cozy pub in the hotel’s cellar. Here guests can sample some of the 50 different brands of beer and whisky offered. Guests can also enjoy the British atmosphere with a portrait of Queen Elisabeth hanging over the fireplace. The mood is often lively here and the pub offers great food.
