Before Fairlawns became a boutique hotel in 1998, it was originally a ten-acre family home.

There are 12 Courtyard Suites, 6 Premier Suites and a Presidential Suite fit for royalty. The suites in the premier wing were named after statesmen or women who played a part in the history of South Africa. The welcoming home from home ambience is augmented by modern technology for the traveling businessman: WiFi, satellite TV, room service, mini bars, secretarial services on request are standard throughout.. From Johannesburg International Airport (OR Tambo)to Fairlawns (approx 25km/20min)
On leaving the Airport, take the R24 to Johannesburg. You stay on the highway until you see signs to Pretoria. Get into the lane saying N3 to Pretoria, which does a loop under the R24. Travel north along the N3 and take the Marlboro off-ramp and turn left. Carry on along this road until you get to a T-Junction. (Marlboro and Katherine Ave- which changes name to Bowling Ave at this point)
Turn right and go through 4 sets of Traffic lights. Immediately after the 4th set of traffic lights, you need to turn left into Alma Road.
Drive 500m down Alma road where the road will dog-leg and you will see FAIRLAWNS in brass letters on the right hand side. Turn right into the hotel.
