| One of the world’s great luxury hotels, The Grand Hotel Europe combines all the charm and elegance of the 19th century with the comfort and convenience of today. |
EXPERIENCEFounded in 1703, St. Petersburg is the cultural center of Russia and is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Located in the heart of the city is one of the world’s most luxurious hotel’s “Grand Hotel Europe”. It combines all the charm and elegance of the 19th century with the comfort and convenience of today.
The hotel has reinvented itself numerous times through the First World War and post revolutionary periods as a hospital, orphanage and center of bureaucratic operations. Fortunately, following extensive and painstaking renovation between 1989 and December 1991, the building re-opened and was given the name “Grand Hotel Europe”. Great care was taken to preserve the hotel's distinct architecture, both the interior of the hotel with its turn-of-the-century art nouveau décor and the magnificent neoclassical façade were restored to their former glory.
The Grand Hotel Europe offers its guests gracious elegance and luxurious comfort, something that St. Petersburg had not seen since the era of the Tsars. The Hotel has 301 rooms and suites of truly exceptional quality, replete with handsome period furnishings, tasteful décor and a generous sense of space and comfort. Guests may choose from among several different classes of rooms and suites including; 89 Standard Classic Rooms, 123 Superior Classic Rooms, 19 Junior Belle Chambres, 17 Terrace Rooms, 22 Duplex, 24 Classic Suites and 4 Executive Suites, as well as the Presidential Suites.
The entire second floor is a non-smoking area. All the rooms are equipped with a mini-bar, personal safe, satellite TV and radio, international phone with modem connections, writing desk and armchairs and a hairdryer.
In early 2008 The Grand Hotel Europe re-opened nine historic suites, after a complete refurbishment and redesign under the direction of the French designer Michel Jouannet.
