The Hospes Amerigo, located in the old city of Alicante, is a building of great architectural value carefully converted into a haven of peace and calm reminiscent of earlier times.

EXPERIENCE

At the heart of the Costa Blanca, the splendid city of Alicante holds the fascination of a very special charm bathed in perpetual sunlight, The Hospes Amerigo. It has been through a series of previous lives before becoming the exceptional property it is today.

Formerly a Dominican convent, then a complex of commercial offices and lastly an apartment block, the building was saved, wholly refurbished and updated by Elvira Blanco. She has reaffirmed the construction's unitary character, and determined an intimate, personal series of spaces in the middle of Alicante.

The latest design complements the authenticity and sobriety of the original architecture to make a uniquely elegant setting in which guests can enjoy relaxation and inspiration.

Mirroring its surroundings, Hospes Amérigo offers one delightful surprise after another: the highly original privacy of the Passage, the works of art, decoration and colour scheme in each room, the natural ingredients of the local gourmet cuisine and the wonderful views from the roof-top swimming pool. Guests can enjoy fascinating walks through the city, as and when they wish, to discover its authentic and cosmopolitan culture. The hotel has 77 double rooms, 1 suite and 2 junior suites, each featuring broadband internet connection, safe, flat-screen TV, DVD, cordless telephones, finest quality Egyptian cotton bed linen and terry toweling, set of natural essence toiletries, bathroom accessories, air conditioning and central heating.

Facilities include a gourmet restaurant, Senzone, (seats 90), Alicantina Tapas Bar (seats 36), terrace and lobby bars and round-the-clock room service. There are also business facilities and function rooms for hire.
