Following a restructuring by architect Xavier Claramunt, traditional Balearic design elements of the original building have been brought back to life in the form of archways, arcades and pillars in marble and stone, and the densely-packed sandstone of nearby town, Santanyi.
In comparison to the neo-classical entrance, Maricel's guestrooms were created with three basic principles in mind: comfort, space and light.
