Hotel AC Palacio De Santa Paula Granada is a unique building where guest enjoy the pleasure of resting in a luxurious hotel, as well as the charm of one of the key monuments of the historical downtown area of Granada, in Spain.
EXPERIENCE
Located in the old town area of Granada, it is the result of a very careful and well-thought-out refurbishment of the old Convent of Santa Paula. It maintains the old cloister and it is a unique building where you can enjoy the pleasure of resting in one of the monuments of the historic centre of the city, with the luxury of a great hotel.
Three different buildings compose the hotel. The main one is the convent, whose construction was finished on 1540, on the base you can find the Cloister with the old fountain, and around the main three hotel rooms: The Library, The restaurant and the Chapel (now used for banquets and prestigious meetings). There are 15 guest rooms around this Cloister, all of them different and with direct view to the wonderful patio. Among these rooms, you can find the Presidential Suite (used to be the Bishop’s room and has an impressive well-preserved ceiling). On your way across the Convent, you arrive to another patio, that presides the Moorish Houses, original patio of the XIV century; around this patio, there are 16 rooms, very romantic and quiet area, there many ceilings are originals and the rooms have the perfect harmony combined between Moorish and modern style. The XIX century building has 44 styling rooms with city view; between them, there are 3 familiar Suites (2 bedrooms may be connected with a sitting room in between).
The hotel is decorated in a contemporary style with parquet flooring, fresh natural colors and mosaic tiles, the spacious lobby has a comfortable lounge and a striking bar, the 75 bedrooms have complimentary minibar and spacious bathrooms with twin sinks; bathrobe, sleepers and a fabulous amenities kit completes all rooms equipment.
The El Claustro Restaurant serves Mediterranean cuisine in a pretty setting around the courtyard with al fresco dining in the summer. In addition to its comprehensive list of the best D.O. Spanish wines, the service is excellent. Sample menus and company lunches are also available.
From Airport: exit at Centro/Recogidas, continue until the Post Office, bear right on Angel Ganivet Street, turn left into San Matías Street, turn left onto Plaza Isabel la Católica, go straight across onto the Gran Via de Colon. The Palacio Santa Paula is two blocks after the Cathedral.
