Hotel Casa Palopó is a beautiful villa built on the hills surrounding Santa Catarina Palopó village, on the shores of Lake Atitlán and overlooking it’s magnificent volcanoes of Atitlán, Tolimán and San Pedro. Activities in this wonderful place range from a relaxing massage in guest rooms, laying by the pool, horse back riding, visits to the Maya communities surrounding the lake or to the handicraft markets at Chichicastenango or Sololá. The hotel has a Master Suite, three Suites, a Junior Suite and four Deluxe Rooms. The main structure contains most of these rooms and the main dining and lounging areas, and a small pool. The Villa is adjacent to the hotel and consists of two bedrooms that are finished with Guatemalan artifacts, art and antiques from around the world. Each bedroom has a private terrace and bathroom with separate shower and deep soaking tubs, with magnificent views. The villa enjoys a private 50 feet long lap pool, spa, indoor and outdoor living and dining areas, library, office and full kitchen.

Lago de Atitlán (Lake Atitlán) is a large endorheic lake in the Guatemalan Highlands. The lake is shaped by deep escarpments which surround it and by three volcanoes on its southern flank. Lake Atitlan is further characterized by towns and villages of the Maya people.
