Hotel Splendido is closed for the winter season from November to the end of March.

Featuring 64 guest rooms including 25 doubles/twins, 4 singles, 27 junior suites and 8 suites. Most rooms have balcony or terrace offering breathtaking views of Portofino's bay, equipped with individual safes and additional safe deposit boxes are available at Reception. Some of the services provided in the hotel are laundry service and dry-cleaning are available six days a week. Same day service is available on request. Concierge services providing babysitting, car hire transfers with personal driver, post and parcel services, theatre and cinema, excursions, newspapers. 24-hour room service, private parking and garage are available to hotel guests. Scheduled shuttle offers complimentary service from Hotel Splendido to Splendido Mare and and Portofino Harbour.

The principal reception rooms are furnished with old looking glasses, gilt console tables and Persian rug, the dining room serves food based on local, even peasant, tradition - fresh fish, home made pasta and lots of local aromatic herbs. The gardens run down the slopes beneath the hotel to the sea, bushes of lavender and wild herbs grow thickly under old olive trees and tangles of bougainvillea obscure the paths and overhang secluded garden benches.

The Indoor Restaurant and the Piano Bar have been re-positioned and decorated in a ligurian-mediterranean design that complements the style of the Hotel. Both border the terrace and enjoy an immediate link with the outside and a beautiful view over the entire bay of Portofino.

Genoa International Airport (GOA) is 37 kilometers (45 minutes) from the Hotel Splendido and provides a wide range of international connections. If you are coming from the Railway Station from Milan/Florence and Rome, alight at the railway stations of Rapallo (8 kms) and Santa Margherita (5kms) and then by taxi only 5 minutes to the Hotel.
