EXPERIENCE

The history of the Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski Dresden traces back to the year 1705 when August the Strong commissioned his master architect Pöppelmann to design and construct a palace for his favorite concubine, Countess Cosel. The Palais soon evolved into a cultural centre, accommodating crowned princes and the king’s most esteemed guests. Tragically, the building was destroyed during the Second World War and ruins were the only sign left of these magnificent times.

The fascination and charm of the Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski Dresden has been preserved, as the architects and craftsmen were able to combine modern convenience with classic elegance. Today, the hotel has again become a favorite spot for Dresdeners and enchants guests from all over the world with every possible modern comfort and luxury.

Each of the 183 guest rooms and 31 suites feature individually controlled air-conditioning, three telephones with ISDN lines, fax machine and modem connections, color television, radio, mini-bar, and safe.

If you are looking for rest and recreation after your meeting or during your holidays in Dresden the spa offers the ideal place to relax, also at the fitness bar they serve drinks, light snacks and fresh fruits, the Finnish Sauna is one of the most well-known forms of bathing, with a high temperature of about 80 to 100°C, an extremely low humidity (about 10% rel. humidity) and the resulting benefits of a quick cool-down, this sauna is optimal for strengthening the immune system. Additionally, they provide a variety of infusions, including eucalyptus, peppermint, and citrus. After the sauna you can relax in the tranquil relaxation room.
