J Restaurant & Sealodge Gåshaga

Fifteen minutes from Stureplan in Stockholm, on the southeastern shore of the island of Lidingö, lies the cozy J Restaurant & Sealodge. Guests can enjoy a view stretching for miles over the waters of Askrikefjärden, the boats on Saltsjön and Stockholm’s fabulous archipelago!

Their 13 tastefully decorated rooms all have a view of the water. All of the rooms also offer their own private balconies so that guests can gain the optimal enjoyment of the sea, by both seeing the water and smelling the salt air. A wonderfully luxurious suite with its own steam sauna is available for those who desire that extra touch. The comfy chairs in the hotel’s quiet lobby offer the most beautiful imaginable view of the sea through generous picture windows.

Restaurant J Gåshaga serves modern international cuisine with a natural focus on fish and shellfish dishes, often with Asian and Italian overtones. On the upper floor with its large deck overlooking the water, is Hotel and Restaurant J Gåshaga’s Yacht Club. Here guests can enjoy coffee and after-dinner drinks, and recline in one of the comfortable armchairs.

As an exclusive extra, J Gåshaga offers its very own wine cellar. Here the finest wines are stored and expertly presented by a first-rate sommelier. In the wine cellar, guests are invited to participate in wine tasting and other events by request.

Restaurant J Gåshaga has room for 160 guests and is located on the first floor of the 1,900 sq.m. building. The décor has a clear nautical theme inspired by American boat-houses. When weather permits there are 150 seats available in the open-air section as well as a jetty on which to socialize. A banqueting area, its ceiling hung with sails, has room for 80 seated guests and is available for corporate and private functions. The banqueting area can quickly and easily be rearranged to accommodate smaller groups.

From central Stockholm it takes only 15 minutes by car to reach J Restaurant & Sealodge. Guests can also take the Waxholmsbåt ferry service from Blaiseholmskajen in front of the Grand Hotel to the jetty at Gåshaga Brygga. Guests with their own private boats can moor directly at J Gåshaga’s own jetty, which has room for about 20 boats.
