The Kempinski Grand Hotel des Bains is situated in St. Moritz Bad, directly at the source of the Mauritius springs, the bubbling waters tied to St. Moritz’s earliest development. The train ride through the canton of Grisons to the Engadine, with its many winding tunnels and dizzying viaducts, is one of the most scenic and interesting in all of Europe. If you choose to fly from Zurich, Swiss Global Aviation (SGA) also offers two daily flights to Samedan airport just minutes from St. Moritz. St. Moritz is best reached from southern Germany by car (about 3.5 hours drive from the center of Munich). There are also good connections by air with Swiss or Lufthansa from other German cities to Zurich. The trip from Zurich to St. Moritz takes about two and a half hours by car, or three hours and 45 minutes by rail, traveling on the SBB and the Rhaetian Railway.
