At Ladera, your open-air suite is your own private aerie in the tropical heights of St. Lucia.

EXPERIENCE

Nothing prepares you for the view of the forested Piton mountains rising from the blue Caribbean - let alone the fact that your 1,500 sq. ft. Hilltop Dream Suite has no living-room wall. Sliding into the heated pool as warm trade winds buffet the canopy of your four-poster bed, you're in total privacy here at Ladera. Because the suite stands on a ridge 1,100 ft. above the ocean, no one can see in but the passing birds.

Ladera pulls off the same feat with all of its 23 suites and nine villas, each of which has a pool. Understandably, you may want to order an in-room treatment from Ti Kai Posé Spa, whose name means little house of rest in local patois. But don't miss a dip in the mineral soaking tubs located in the spa gardens.

After a day of sailing, snorkeling, or hiking the beautiful island below, reacquaint yourself with that astonishing vista at the resort's Dasheene Restaurant, which serves fresh seafood and other updates on classic St. Lucian dishes.

LOCATION

Ladera is near the town of Soufrière at the southern end of the Caribbean island of St. Lucia, one of the Lesser Antilles. By car, the resort is 40 minutes from Hewanorra International Airport and 90 minutes from George F.L. Charles Airport, which accommodates inter-island flights. Ladera provides an airport shuttle service.
