After an exhaustive $150 million dollar renovation of the former Charles Street Jail, the Liberty Hotel was created. Echoing the stone facade, reception desks at the Liberty Hotel are punctuated with a panel of granite warmed by a surrounding concentric panel of mahogany woods. Throughout the public areas, American colonial prints, enlarged and rendered in historic colors such as maroon, gray and purple, provide a fresh take on a traditional look, while bold geometric carpets in rich hues of purple and yellow are reminiscent of New England window panes and the friezes of traditional doors.

The Liberty Hotel features 300 guestrooms, including 10 incomparable suites with river views. Ranging in size from 400 to 800 square feet, and offering seven different room types, each room defines serenity, and is graciously appointed in tones of pale rose and taupe accented with rich mahogany woods and touches of stainless steel. Luxurious, imported bed linens and four-fixture baths and floor to ceiling windows complete the experience. The rooms also feature a 32" flat panel HD-LCD television, bathrobe, in-room safe, and environmentally-friendly Molton Brown bath and body care products. Services also include evening turndown and overnight shoe shine. The largest of these rooms is the Charles River Suite, boasting a master bedroom with a king bed, one and a half bathrooms and a separate living room/dining area with panoramic direct views of the Boston skyline including Beacon Hill and The Charles River.

The Liberty Hotel has three distinctive venues for dining and drinks. Enjoy social urban food and drinks in a casual atmosphere at CLINK, have a drink in ALIBI, a sensual ground floor bar in an old cell block serving custom cocktails. For fine dining, experience dinner at Scampo - a contemporary Italian Restaurant.

The Liberty Hotel offers a meeting facility with 6,000 square feet of space to meet the needs of groups large and small in impeccable style. The dramatic ballroom features the latest technology and can accommodate 225 for a formal sit down dinner or 300 for theatre-style presentations, making it ideal for large scale events. Other meeting rooms range from 415 sq. ft. to 1050 sq. ft. of space offering more intimate settings for groups of 10 to 120. 2007/08 Winter packages available for groups.
