EXPERIENCE

You'll never forget your first sunset at Uluru (Ayers Rock), the vast red sandstone monolith rising out of Australia's northern desert. Making this sight even more memorable are your lodgings at Longitude 131° - an elevated luxury tent with every convenience, from air conditioning to an iPod dock. One of just 15 such structures at the eco-friendly boutique resort, it's named after William Christie Gosse, the first European to climb Uluru.

You can hardly wait for the spectacular sunrise, but first, there's dinner under a brilliant starlit sky at Table 131°. One of several dining options, this elegant experience pairs Outback cuisine with fine Australian wines. Before you sit down, visit the Dune Top at dusk for cocktails and panoramic views of Uluru and Kata Tjuta, another giant rock formation sacred to the Aborigines.

Longitude 131° offers guided tours of these natural treasures - by camel, Harley-Davidson, or helicopter. Cool down afterward with a private meal by the pool.
