Prague is renowned for historic architecture and in the designs have carefully preserved specific characteristics to reinforce the building’s origins as a 14th Century monastery. Each of the 99 rooms including 22 suites have their own individual features like high ceilings, some vaulted, some arched. Others have tall windows through which shafts of light pour through, spilling over the original parquet flooring polished over hundreds of years. Limestone bathrooms, with heated floors are created as private spas and equipped with rejuvenating aromatherapy essential oils and balms.
Essensia, comprised of five adjoining rooms crowned by vaulted ceilings, boasts the best of authentic Asian and modern European cuisine. Diffused lighting and Asian accents make the BAREGO Bar a chic yet intimate rendezvous, perfect for daytime snacking, evening cocktails, and anytime people watching. Last but not least, our beautiful Monastery Lounge, set amongst a breathtaking colonnade, formerly a cloister corridor, is the place to be to enjoy the world-famous afternoon tea.
Situated within a small Renaissance chapel the Spa is a unique space where guests will find equilibrium between body, mind and spirit. During the restoration, the ancient remnants of a Gothic church were discovered and have been preserved as a historic feature under a glass floor. For complete privacy guests can retreat in their robes through an underground passageway linked directly to the main building and the hotel’s rooms.
